Saint Remigius of Auxerre was a Benedictine monk, teacher, grammarian, and commentator active in the Carolingian schools of Auxerre, Reims, and Paris. He wrote or transmitted commentaries on Scripture, grammar, and classical authors. Material attributed to him in medieval Gospel traditions often summarizes patristic teaching for school use. Attribution within the Remigian corpus is sometimes complex, so individual work titles should be checked where possible.
